Amelium.ca Return & Refund Policy
At Amelium, we stand behind the quality of our mushroom spawn, cultures, fruiting blocks, and other mycology products and we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. Due to the nature of some these products, we have established the following return and refund guidelines:
1. Scope & Eligibility

Contamination Guarantee

We guarantee that our spawn, cultures, and fruiting blocks are free of contamination upon dispatch.

If a product is unusable due to contamination or defects within our control, you’re eligible for a replacement.

Non-Returnable Items

Mushroom spawn, cultures, fruiting blocks, and filter patch bags cannot be returned once delivered.

All sales of these perishable items are final, except under our Contamination Guarantee.

2. Timeframe for Claims

24-Hour Inspection Period

Please inspect your shipment immediately upon delivery.

Report any issues within 24 hours of receipt to be eligible for a replacement.

3. How to Request a Replacement

We’ll review your submission and, if the issue falls under our guarantee, ship a replacement at no additional cost.

Refunds for Non-Perishable Items
We offer refunds only for non-perishable items such as unused equipment and cultivation supplies (e.g., filter patch bags, tools, accessories), in cases where the product is defective or damaged (and damage was not due to shipping carrier mishandling).
Eligibility Criteria:

The item must be unused and in original condition.

Damage or defect must be clearly documented and not the result of shipping carrier mishandling.

Refund requests must be made within 7 days of delivery.

Proof of purchase is required.

If the claim is approved, we’ll authorize a return.
- Once approved customers have 30 days to return item(s)
- Customers are responsible for return shipping costs and a 10% restocking fee. We recommend using a tracked shipping service.
Refund Method:

Once the item is received and inspected, approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 5–7 business days.

We do not refund original shipping charges.
5. Exclusions & Customer Responsibility

Carrier or Weather-Related Damage

Damages due to shipping carrier mishandling, temperature extremes (freezing/overheating), or delayed transit are not covered. Choosing the appropriate packaging will insure the safest delivery of products. Please see our Shipping Policy here for details.

Improper Storage or Handling

Once delivered, proper storage and handling is the responsibility of the customer. We cannot replace products spoiled due to mishandling. Please check out our Blog on proper storage protocols.

Late-Week Shipping Policy

Orders for temperature-sensitive items placed after noon Wednesday may be held until Monday to avoid weekend delays. Claims for weekend exposure are excluded under this policy.
